If you had asked me even a few years ago I would’ve listed off a number of Hermes bags or jewellery and watches. Whilst I do still very much find those things chic, I’m increasingly realising that style and elegance don’t always have to be so much in monetary value or brand names or often even things at all, but instead actions, little joys and a way of living.
It’s filling your home with fresh flowers.
Hand written notes and cards on personalised stationary.
Spending an afternoon at a gallery or museum.
A perfectly curated collection of pottery, serveware and linens.
Finding joy in the different parts of each day.
Niche collecting of art, books, merchandise, travel momentos or just collecting what you love in general.
Beautiful everyday items like fancy dish and bar soap.
A lived in personalised home filled with photos or whatever is authentic to you.
Natural nails.
Curating playlists for specific times of day, seasons etc.
Spending quality time with people you love every day.
Showing kindness.
Being informed.
Spending time outside in nature.
If I think about the women who I would look up as a child, it was about how they made me feel as much as what they were wearing that made them cool, stylish and unique. As I get older this is something i’m trying to remember and focus on.

Have a lovely weekend,
