These months are really flying in, I simply cannot comprehend how it was January like two weeks ago and now, June!
May was so good to me, a month of sunshine, travel, birthday celebrations and an abundance of beautiful flowers — mainly peonies because their short time in season has to be taken advantage of. Whether from the flower market or supermarket I’ve just loved having them in every vase around the house this month.

This poem by Mary Oliver does a better job of explaining my love for these beautiful flowers and that’s exactly why it’s one of this months favourites.

Your friends & neighbours is a TV favourite of the month. Mad Men is one of my all time favourite shows so it was super interesting to see Jon Hamm in this and truthfully I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did.
One of my most worn basics in May was this pointelle long sleeve from Brandy Melville - the perfect layering piece.

As many of you will know I love my Burleigh pottery and have been slowly but surely building a collection. I started out with the green because they were perfect for autumn and winter but I just loved the blue for spring and summer so I got some as a birthday gift and haven’t stopped using them. How precious are the teacups!?
I love to match paper napkins to the season or just whatever vibe i’m going for. I bought some gorgeous cocktail napkins from a little deli in Winter Park at Christmas and the brand was Caspari, I found them on amazon and they have the sweetest selection of paper cocktail napkins. I got these paisley print ones to match the vibe of my birthday but also ordered some gingham ones for summer. It may seem silly to some but these little details bring me so much joy.
Playlist on repeat lately has been this one, perfectly fitting for my slow living spring and summer.
Hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend,
L xo
